Doesn’t it seem like the world thrives on creativity these days? Even job descriptions now rarely miss this interesting requirement. Following established processes and procedures, which has been the norm for a long time, is no longer selling. With the massive scale of interconnectivity across the planet, things are going obsolete faster than ever. Trending topics barely last more than a day or two and the timeframe is even shorter when social media comes into play. As such, continuously creating, innovating, and inventing is now the name of the game. Fortunately, society has embraced this with open arms. The short attention span of these weird instant generations has all but cemented the need for new things every other day.
Be it content creation, product development, starting businesses, or even going to a job interview. The need for minds that can continuously generate something fresh at a moment’s notice is growing and reshaping the way society works. Interestingly enough, consumers are more willing and ready to accept whatever madness creators dream up. we don’t even have to look too far to find a perfect example. Some dude gained millions of views and followers just for shaking his behind to a Justin Beiber song while a drone flew around him. If that isn’t madness, I don’t know what is. And to make things worse, the guy quickly went obsolete.

Creative solutions to modern problems have seen novel technologies pop up out of nowhere and turn the world on its head. Take something as simple as delivery. Before 2020, it was mainly implemented by courier service companies which btw made a killing even then. Covid took the industry to a whole other level. It evolved so fast that today, most companies operating in large towns made deliveries a must-have service across all product offerings. Comprehensive networks have been set up spanning entire cities and with some keeping records of the locations of their core clientele such that the only thing between them and the desired product is a phone call. The information age we are living in has seen us willingly give up our privacy for some creature comforts here and there.
Did you know that there is now a course offered to master’s students on how to understand, manage, and make the most of creativity? Strange world we’re living in huh? And that’s before we even look at some of the weird things people are coming up with out here. I mean, what was the person who came up with stuff like vibrators even smoking? And yet, this birthed an entire industry with women now having entire shops dedicated to related items on display. Let that sink in for a moment. This same world which had all but outlawed the idea of ladies wearing pants a few decades ago has normalized having sex shops that you can find just casually chilling next to a salon or bar. I bet our ancestors are even sick of rolling in their graves at this point. Just think of how much tradition has been left behind in favor of a more open way of thinking.

This century has probably seen more changes in our daily lives than any before it. In the old days, change would take months or years to take root, we are now moving so fast that it’s hard to keep track of what is going on around us. Kinda funny to see how we now have to choose our struggles. With so much variety springing up around us built upon both old and modern techniques, we are spoilt for choice. Which makes it much easier to find a place for ourselves. Why do I say so? Simply because of the rapid rate at which people are making their wildest desires a reality. ‘If nobody else will make it, then I will make it myself’. The DIY generation is here. We are crazy, depressed, creative, and have access to a bottomless pit of information. Can’t wait to see the changes we make to this world in the coming years.
I’m actually very much thrilled to see what more we can create. Seems finally we are taking advantage of the autonomy that we have now that wasn’t before and also pushing our creativity to the limit.
Also, vibratory 🤭🤭🤭You just had to go there?
