Two in one!

Truths hidden in fiction
Be it from movies, novels, fairytales, and even myths, the underlying truths of the world seem to be communicated through time by adding a single hero who shines like a beacon in this increasingly dark world. Just think about it. If you picture every movie you have ever watched, then remove all main characters labeled ‘good guys’ you are likely to come across a part of it that relates to the news you have come across from something happening in reality. From something as localized as domestic violence to widespread issues like racial violence.

Our innate desire to fulfill individual desires can probably explain a lot of what is considered ‘good’ and ‘bad’ in the world. What we need to realize is that we are all individuals first before family, friends, tribes, races, and countries. Our personal decisions, self-image, and inclinations are part of what gives strength to the power of grouping titles such as ‘Countries’.

For some empowering the country means having a cash-cow for future generations of those bearing your name to milk for every penny it’s worth. It’s simply the greatest investment ever made. Building multi-billion dollar companies are grand and all but pale in comparison to what is essentially owning a country. Everything is provided free of charge. The populace pays you to keep ‘law and order’. And provide labor as well. It’s pure genius if you ask me.

Have you ever wondered what would happen if, and this is an astronomical if, we could transcend all these backward practices that divide us and create the most diverse country ever? I doubt we can even begin to imagine the crazy stuff we’d be up to. The math is quite simple really. On one hand, it has the potential to bring great prosperity to the human race by bringing all these resources under a government that can make good use of them. While on the other hand, one bad apple could bring the whole thing crashing down.

Weird Thoughts
Okay, a disclaimer first, what I’m about to say is by no means me being serious. It’s just an odd thought that crossed my mind. Humanity is a product of evolution sparked by nature’s innate, well, nature. While our position at the top of the food chain is a result of a little thing called natural selection. So doesn’t this mean that all that people have brought to this world is still nature running its course?

Up until a few decades ago, everything we had ever built was sourced from naturally occurring stuff (And yes, I am counting meteors that have landed on the planet as natural). So perhaps even the device you’re reading this on is as much a part of nature as trees🌚.

Doesn’t the very fact that we are a part of nature make everything we do an extension of it? I know I’m forcing issues a little bit but let’s run with it and see what happens. Nature has a much larger scope than what we usually learn in school. A definition of the word nature caught my eye that states, “Nature is the total of the forces at work throughout the universe.” Our world is pretty much insignificant on a universal scale, but we are still a force at work in the universe. Should humanity have the capacity to become a Type V civilization (As per the Kardashev scale), we would essentially own all universes in existence. Assuming we don’t come across a more advanced race that smooshes us on first contact.

Anyway, that’s probably enough crazy for one day. Deep diving into the nerdy side of YouTube is a slippery slope for overthinkers😂. And as I say this, I am currently neck-deep in quantum physics videos.

  1. Interesting thought indeed, I actually agree with you that everything is built from naturally occurring materials with a little modification to give things a sophisticated or rather a different look,
