As is with any major occurrence in the known universe. A spark is all it takes to set things in motion. It isn’t always instantaneous and neither is it always something noticeable. But there are always underlying reasons for why everything came into being. And the same principle lies behind the story of Ella and James.
Why? Because they were from completely different worlds. James has had a tough life. With him having lost his parents at the tender age of 8 years, he has gone through a lot in his quest to create a place for himself in this cut-throat world. His childhood was characterized by nights where he would sleep hungry out in the open with no protection from the elements.

On the nights it rained, he would let the tiny droplets wash away the tears that yearned for a Better Tomorrow, while starry Nights brought back the pain of the love he lost when his parents passed on.
After about 6 years of wandering in the streets while hoping someone would claim him, he finally reached his breaking point on his 15th birthday. “It’s time.” He thought to himself. “I have no place in this world and my life is simply a sequence of consistent reminders that I do not belong anywhere.” That night, as his damp eyes closed while curled up beside a makeshift fire, he resolved to bid the world farewell the next day.

“Hey! Wake up!! Said a voice in the darkness of is dreamless slumber. “Daddy, he looks so hungry.” It continued. Something about the soft voice sounded quite soothing and he couldn’t help but feel himself being drawn to it. “It’s just a dream though,” He said to himself. Nevertheless, he opened his eyes. As he adjusted to the darkness, he could make out a young girl dressed in a pink fluffy jacket kneeling beside him looking concerned, and a man behind her looking at him over her shoulder.
The rest, I guess you can say, is history. At the time, he did not know that these two individuals staring down at him would eventually come to treat him as one of their own.

I wonder if it was Ella and her dad who took him from the streets, am excited for the next part of the story.
