As he pulled her onto her feet, he looked into her eyes and his mind froze for a moment. All he could think of was how he could wipe off her tears without her thinking he was some kind of creep. Her sad eyes felt so familiar to the anguish he was consistently trying to run away from. And as Ella stood, the already tiny distance between them grew even smaller. James was surprised at how short the beautiful girl standing in front of him was. Suddenly, it seemed like she was about to fall back down and he instinctively reached out his arms and held her.

After a few minutes of what seemed like the best hug either of them had ever received, Ella snapped back to reality as she remembered that this guy was a stranger to her. She took a step back and before she could even talk, he pulled out a handkerchief and handed it to her. She was caught so off guard that she forgot what she was about to say. And for some reason, this kinda her pissed off. So she furiously wiped away her tears with the sleeves of her sweater and stormed off.

That is until she heard James break out in laughter behind her. And she thought to herself, “Who the hell is this weirdo in sweatpants.” She found herself thinking about said weirdo all the way home. When walking into the door she could smell pancakes which meant her dad was cooking. She rushed to the kitchen and rattled off her encounter with a ‘weird guy’ (Yes she was that close with her dad).The huge grumpy looking guy burst out laughing saying, “I feel for this James character more,” earning him a scowl from Ella.

James was left perplexed as he watched Ella storm off. He thought to himself, ‘What an odd girl.’ As he had developed an interest in her, she tried looking for her all over the park but to no avail. Seeing as he is quite stubborn and had some ranger friends there, he asked that they contact him if ever they saw her there again.
