We as people love to dream. We create so much and fantasize about a whole lot more. Building castles and galaxies in the air is probably one of the biggest sparks that drive innovation. For those of us who dream of being able to fly faster than jets, be stronger than superman, run free for miles upon miles in minutes and just go crazy, anime is our home. The mad creativity of anime creators is simply astounding. They can give form to our wildest dreams in a very entertaining and relatable manner. I mean, while we cannot relate to the powers wielded in these shows, we can relate to the wishes and dreams of those who have them.
Just imagine being able to fly into a hurricane and enjoy the feel of the heavy rains as you would a gentle afternoon shower. Or being able to fly out into space at light speed to watch a star go supernova. Probably the greatest light show you can ever hope for don’t you think? It’s funny how anime can give this weird guy’s fantasies a more stable form. Something he can see and smile for some time. Even as reality continues to warp around us, the worlds of fantasy continue to grow, with new ones popping up now and then.

This genre of entertainment is probably going to be the reason some of us will watch cartoons till we are old and grey. Why? Because they keep our wildest and most unrealistic dreams we have alive. Because while reality is not kind enough to let us realize them, we can at least watch a scenario in which it could happen. And from that scenario, gain some kind of closure. Although I will admit, more often than not, they leave a yearning for more. More details, more discovery, more stories… Just more.
While Hollywood has brought us some wild entertainment, they are unable to bring fantasy out like the Japanese can. Anyone who has watched One Punch Man and The Seven Deadly Sins can attest to that. And that’s just a taste. The powers displayed by studios like DC and Marvel are nothing close to what guys like FUNimation and type moon are doing. In these times where staying home is all we can do. Anime is probably one of the best escapes for weirdos such as myself. We get to travel to distant galaxies and parallel worlds without ever leaving the comfort of our homes.

I may not be a good example to use as a standard of normalcy but anime is way too underrated if you ask me. This is entertainment at its best. From graphics to ridiculously unrealistic stories, this is a dreamer’s paradise. It is a place where anything and everything goes.
Do you want to see the kind of life you’d have if you were powerful enough to blow a planet to smithereensh? Heroic Age has you covered. You wanna be an evil all-powerful undead conquering a world? Overlord is waiting for you. You guys get the gist of it. Here, there is something for everyone.

I agree with you, imagination is a big part of human life. Some even say it is more important than knowledge. Mmh! I don’t know about this though,
Animations are actually interesting to watch. The fantasy and imagination they create is on another interesting level. Animations are worth binge watching especially during this hard times when all we can do is stay home.
